Hope, Darkness Yielding
An ACE funded community art project in the village of Weston Colville, Cambs
2024

Role: Lead artist, creative director and instigator of the project.
At a time of uncertainty economically and environmentally, an open call was made for short video clips showing how we find hope in dark times. A local writer was invited to write an inspiration piece, which was recorded by a number of people. The films were then edited to the soundtrack, making a 5 minute inspiration film. This was shown on a large screen in the church together with other artwork made at a workshop during the project.

On The Threshold
an ACE funded community art project in the village of Weston Colville, Cambs 2021

Role: Lead artist and instigator of the project.
I asked residents to take photos of their neighbours standing on their doorsteps as the village prepared to come out of lockdown at the end of the Covid pandemic. These photos were shown at an event in the parish church, projected onto a 3m wide screen suspended in the nave of the church. This compilation was also made into a film which can be viewed on request. The link is kept private to safeguard participants privacy.
